TO THE UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST ASSOCIATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES:

The planning and the implementaion of Common Ground: The 1981 UUA Youth Assembly has been a challenge and an inspiration. As we present our final report, we are mindful of the historic purpose of our charge and of its implications for the future of the UUA.

We have felt priveledged in our assignment to this task. We have also felt a deep sense of responsibility in cpmpleting the task. Your initiative and trust in creating and funding our committee has been appreiciated. We are grateful also for the suppor t of the North Shore Unitarian Society Veatch Program, the Unitarian Sunday School Society, and the Universalist Church School Union.

Most of all we are grateful for the tremendous support Common Ground has received from Unitarian Universalists all over the continent of all ages. We feel that the 1981 UUA Youth Assembly has accomplished what was required of it. Teh recommendati ons of the Assembly are the result of an impressive effort by all of the delegates who attended.

It is with profound respect for these people and their work that we submit to you this report. The next step in the "Common Ground Process" is yours.

Respectfully submitted,
